Driver Was High, Had Heroin: Mendham Township Police
A Morris County K9 unit found prescription pills as well, police said.
MENDHAM, NJ - A 30-year-old Mendham man was charged with possession after an incident with police on Aug. 19, according to authorities.
Mendham Township Police Sgt. Matthew Ambrosi conducted a traffic stop, on Ironia Road and during the course of the stop, discovered that the driver was in possession of heroin and under the influence, police said.
With the help of the Morris County Sheriff's K9 Unit, a search was conducted that resulted in the finding of heroin, prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia, police said. The driver was charged with 3rd degree drug possession and driving under the influence of drugs and released with a pending court date.
