Drugs Found In Several Morris Co. Parks: PD

Morris County Park Police made multiple arrests for drug possession in county parks at the end of May.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County Park Police made several arrests in the county parks system between May 20 and May 27. This includes several arrests for drug possession. Read about recent arrests, as written by police, in the latest police blotter:

-5/20: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop in Berkshire Valley Golf Course in Jefferson Township. An investigation led to Steven R. Singley, age 36, of Hardyston, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released with a court date pending.

-5/23: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle in Pyramid Mountain County Park in Montville Township. An investigation led to Precious C. Smith, age 18, of Fairfield, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released with a court date pending.

-5/24: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers observed a suspicious parked vehicle at Hedden County Park in Mine Hill Township. An investigation led to Samantha J. Campiglia, age 20, of Roxbury Township, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released with a court date pending.

-5/26: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers observed a County Ordinance violation at Hedden County Park in Mine Hill Township. An investigation led to Karihal Manivannan, age 18, of Roxbury Township, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released with a court date pending.

-5/27: ARREST FOR WARRANTS: Officers observed a suspicious parked vehicle at Mahlon Dickerson Reservation in Jefferson Township. An investigation revealed Joseph W. Stone, age 60, of Sandyston, to have two warrants for failure to appear in Mine Hill Municipal Court. He was released with a new court date pending.
