Easter Festival Makes A Big Return To Alstede Farms In Chester

Families can look forward to Chester's annual Egg-splosion event on April 19, featuring the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt around town.

CHESTER, NJ — Spring fun is blooming in Chester as Alstede Farms' annual Springtime & Easter Festival returns this weekend.

The Chester-based family farm has a basket full of activities lined up for the event, including scenic hay wagon rides around the farm, an Easter egg hunt, the Bunny Trail Maze, and plenty of chances to visit and feed baby animals and other farm animals.

Children can also take photos with the Easter Bunny, while visitors can explore the evergreen maze, visit the farm museum, and climb the giant hay pyramid.

Food and beverage options, along with activities like pony rides, wagon train rides, and a bounce house, will be available for an additional fee, officials said.

The festival runs from April 5-6 and reopens from April 12 through April 21. Live entertainment will be available on weekends and holidays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are priced at $24.99, while the Children’s Activities Plus Ticket is available for $36.99. This ticket includes all the activities listed above, plus one pony ride, one wagon train ride and one bounce house ticket.

When purchasing a ticket, you'll be assigned a designated check-in window, which is noted on your event ticket. After check-in, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy all the farm activities, officials said.

Each person must purchase an entry ticket. If you're late for your time slot, access to farm activities cannot be guaranteed, and no refunds will be issued. Children ages two and older require an entry ticket.

Families can also purchase tickets for the popular Easter Bunny Breakfast or Bunny Trail Brunch on the weekends of April 12-13 and April 18-19.

The Easter Bunny Breakfast runs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and features a menu with French toast topped with berry compote and whipped cream, bacon and sausage, breakfast potatoes, made-to-order eggs, and beverages.

The Bunny Trail Brunch menu features garden-fresh pasta salad, ravioli with roasted red pepper gouda sauce, garlic butter shrimp risotto, herbed chicken in lemon butter sauce, chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, and a vegetable medley. Some breakfast items, including French toast, sausage, and potatoes, will also be served.

All seating will be indoors, and guests can take photos with the Easter Bunny. Tables are available for four, six, or eight people, and tickets include a meal, a visit with the Easter Bunny, and access to all Springtime & Easter Festival activities.
