Entangled Deer Gets Helping ‘Hoof’ From Mendham First Responders
The buck fawn needed some help while he practiced his goaltending skills, it seems.

MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham first responders were called out to a local school this week, not to help students or staff, but a curious deer who got in a sticky situation.
Fire and police responded to Mountain View School’s athletic field on Thursday after a deer was reportedly entangled in a soccer net.

The buck fawn, who might’ve just been working on his goaltending skills, was safely removed from the net and headed back into the forest, officials said.
"Thankfully, our team was able to safely free the animal and return it to the wild,” a fire department post read. “Always happy to lend a helping hand — or hoof!”
