MENDHAM, NJ — Mendham Township’s Municipal Building and Library are expected to stay closed through Wednesday because of a downed tree and power lines.

Neither the Township of Mendham nor the Library provided exact details as to when the incident occurred, however, the township had a “ticker tape” style message on its website for Aug. 24 and 25, alerting that both buildings will be closed on those days.

Mendham Township posted an image on its Facebook Page at about 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday.

The library posted a message before 11 a.m. on its Facebook Page Wednesday morning, specifically noting that a tree limb damaged the building’s roof, as well as caused an internet outage.

Additionally, the library’s website had its own alert at the top of the page that it was “closed due to a power outage.”

The library’s Facebook Page indicated that the facility will need to stay closed until both repairs and cleanup happen at the site.

“We will post another message when we reopen,” they wrote.
