GoFundMe For Mendham Triplets Who Suddenly Lost Their Dad

A fundraiser is on with a $100,000 goal to establish educational funds for the children of Michael Fabrizio.

MENDHAM, NJ - Michael Fabrizio died suddenly on June 15 at 55, his wife Lisa and their triplets Gabriella, Zachary and Matthew, picking up the pieces.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been ongoing to raise monies for the Mendham resident's children, with the total on Monday at $37,800 raised of the fund’s $100,000 goal.

Fabrizio was beloved for many things he did in Morristown, in addition to his devotion to his family. He was nicknamed “Mr. Morristown” by Mayor Tim Dougherty, where he served as Morristown’s Parking Authority director. He was also the Morristown Partnership’s executive director, who “laid the foundation for the revitalization of Morristown,” according to his obituary.

“Always a proud father, there was not a day that went by that he didn’t celebrate the accomplishments of his children,” wrote Jennifer Wehring, the fund’s organizer and Fabrizio’s successor at the Morristown Partnership. “Without fail he made sure that each of their unique needs were met and dreams explored. They are his greatest accomplishment.”

Wehring, who said Lisa Fabrizio has been designated the fund’s custodian, will have donations earmarked for the triplets’ tuition and other costs related to college.
