Grand Reopening Set for Kings Food Market in Mendham
New features, enhancements coming with ceremonial pasta-ribbon cutting on Friday.

To know Mendham is to know one of its largest businesses, the Kings Food Market, which sits on Route 24, welcoming locals and passersby alike.
The store, a staple in the community, is now set for its grand reopening this weekend, ready to offer a host of changed and enhancements.
A community tasting event will kick off the Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19 reopening which will also feature expanded services and departments.

Enhancements to the store, according to Kings Food Markets, include:
“The revitalized Mendham store will feature a new build-it-yourself sandwich station, offering customizable made-to-order sandwiches, as well as a new mezze, olive and soup bar, offering fresh and unique Mediterranean influenced dishes. The store will also feature exclusive catering services that provide shoppers with a variety of different menus for event planning, quick delivery and freshly prepared business lunches. Additionally, the Mendham store will boast a new floral boutique, hot foods bar and expanded meat, seafood and bakery departments.”

A pasta-ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner to be sung by James Cutler.
Kings will also make a monetary donation to the Interfaith Food Pantry, which helps Morris County families in need.
Other events scheduled for the weekend include a New Mexico Hatch Chile Roasting event at 10 a.m. Saturday; fall-themed photo booth from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; Nutritionist Shari Boockvar offering complimentary consultations from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
