Holly Trail To Light Up Mendham Borough This Weekend

The annual event features business open houses, concerts, a tree lighting ceremony and visits from Santa.

MENDHAM, NJ — The holiday season kicks into high gear in a big way this weekend with the Holly Trail and tree lighting festivities lighting up Mendham Borough.

From Christmas carolers to visits with Santa, plus the “Where’s Santa” contest, there’s plenty of free festive fun for families and neighbors to enjoy the day together.

Each local business around the borough with a candy cane out front will also have its own special lineup of holiday happenings that day, officials said.

Take part in the “Where’s Santa” contest to win “Mendham Money.” Find Santa at businesses in Mendham Borough and have the locations initial the contest form, with forms available at Mendham Jewelers on 88 Main Street and the others participating.

Forms should be dropped off again after they’ve been all initialed by Dec. 9.

What are some of the other fun happenings during Dec. 2nd’s Holly Trail?

11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. — Stop for free photos and cookies with Santa at the Phoenix House on 2 West Main Street. Reservations are required and can be completed here. Questions about Santa’s visit? Call the Borough of Mendham at 973-543-7152.

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. — A holiday jazz concert at Mendham United Methodist Church, 10 East Main Street.

This year, the tree lighting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the gazebo at Borough Field, right after a holiday concert at Mendham United Methodist Church.
