Officers handled over 2,700 incidents in the month of October in Chester Township and Chester Borough.
CHESTER, NJ - Officers handled over 2,700 incidents in the month of October in Chester Township and Chester Borough, according to authorities.
Here is how it broke down:
- Over 280 dispatched calls for service were received from the Morris County Communications Center. Over 150 traffic stops were performed.
- 25 motor vehicle crashes were investigated.
- Officers responded to 23 calls assisting the Fire Department
- 64 calls assisting the First Aid Squad.
- property/business/area checks
- community policing actions
- administrative tasks
- school posts
- Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS, specifically heroin)
- Possession of CDS (cocaine, heroin, marijuana)
- Paraphernalia, Driving Under the Influence
- Theft, Criminal Sexual Contact (amongst other domestic violence-related charges) as well as wanted persons (N.C.I.C. Warrant, Criminal Warrants, Traffic Warrants) and Juvenile Complaints
