Feel like you're in the dark when it comes to how JCP&L works? Learn more at this presentation.

MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Last winter was a rough one in terms of power outages in Mendham, when a series of March storms left residents in the dark for as long as two weeks. Ahead of this winter, you can learn more about how the restoration process works at a JCP&L presentation in Mendham Township.
The presentation will detail how JCP&L maintains the electric distribution grid, how they prepare for incoming storms, and how they work through outages. It will be given by JCP&L area manager Rob Walton.
“Everything from tree trimming to circuit layouts to crews from other states will be described and
explained,” said Walton.

“We went through several awful snow and ice storms last spring that left some residents without power and feeling frustrated. This is excellent opportunity for residents to learn about the process and to ask questions about what happens on the ground," Committeewoman Amalia Duarte said.
Residents will have time to ask questions following the presentation.

“I did this talk recently in another town. The presentation took 30 minutes and I answered questions for another hour,” said Walton. “It should be helpful for residents to get a better understanding of what we do.”
The presentation will be held on Oct. 17 at Brookside Community Club at 7 p.m.
