MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — Drivers can expect detours and closures on Main Street in Mendham Township beginning Wednesday, officials said.
Paving on both East and West Main will be ongoing for about four days, police said. Closures and details will be changing daily, and on Wednesday this will affect traffic going into the Elementary School.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, police said West Main Street will be closed between Cold Hill Road and the Mendham Township Elementary School entrance at 18 W. Main Street.

Police said the elementary school entrance will be open, but must be accessed from the Cherry Lane side — not the Cold Hill side. No through traffic will be permitted on West Main Street, except for residents who live on this stretch.
The closure and detour will be in place until about 5 p.m.
