Man Brought Homemade Sword To Gym: Mendham Borough PD

Mendham Borough police are looking to speak to the man about the "suspicious incident" that happened earlier this month.

MENDHAM, NJ — Do you know this man? Mendham Borough police are looking to speak with him, after he allegedly brought a homemade sword to The Club (formerly known as the Mendham Health and Racquet Club).

Detective Chris Irons said the man brought the sword to the Main Street gym around 8:20 p.m. on March 3. The man walked into the gym holding the sword and stayed inside for about a minute, before walking outside and stashing the sword in the bushes.

After hiding the sword, the man walked back inside and roamed around for eight minutes; he then walked outside again, Irons said. The man then laid down and went to sleep on the steps of the club.
