Man Threatened To Kill Mendham Cop During Traffic Stop: Police
The man, a 31-year-old from Morristown, was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and driving while intoxicated (DWI), police said.
MENDHAM, NJ — Officials said a man shouted at a Mendham police officer and threatened to kill him during a motor vehicle stop last week.
According to police, at around 8:30 a.m. earlier that week, Sgt. Rob Kalweit pulled over the driver after observing a traffic violation.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Morristown, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and making terroristic threats after he threatened to kill Sgt. Kalweit during the investigation.

The driver, whose identity has not been released, was also issued tickets for refusing a breathalyzer test and for having open alcoholic containers in the vehicle, police said.
Mendham police later turned the driver over to the Morristown Police Department after processing, due to an outstanding warrant.
