Mendham Fire Department Looking For Regular Volunteers

Here's how to apply.

MENDHAM, NJ — The Mendham Fire Department is looking for more regular volunteer firefighters to help serve the borough. It's been a while since a new volunteer has joined the ranks: they have not gotten a new regular membership application in two years.

Regular members must be physically capable of being a firefighter, and live within two miles of the Mendhams. No previous emergency experience is required, and membership is not limited to men.

Membership dues are $5 a year, but all firefighter equipment is provided by the department. Generally members can expect to spend 5 hours a week on firefighting duties, but it could be more or less, depending on the week.
