Mendham Fundraiser On To Help Postal Worker Who Lost His Car In Ida Floods

A fundraiser is ongoing to help raise money for Brookside's postal worker, to replace his car following Ida's floods.

MENDHAM, NJ — Some Mendham Township residents are lending a helping hand for the man who runs the Brookside Post Office, who lost his car as the remnants of Ida passed through New Jersey.

The Township of Mendham posted about the fundraiser this past Thursday asking Mendham and Brookside residents to “help Jason get some wheels.”

“His unfailing positive attitude and warm personal greetings are the conduit by which our village continues to feel small and community driven,” Clark wrote.

Clark said that the funds are being raised to help bridge the gap as he goes through the process to replace his car through his insurance company, which is being complicated by current supply chain issues and costs.

His wife had also lost her car about a month prior to Ida, according to Clark’s fundraiser.

“I’d love to help out the guy who makes our community as welcoming as it is,” Clark wrote.
