Mendham Photographers Could Win A Free Tree: Here’s How

The borough's annual photo contest has returned.

MENDHAM BOROUGH, NJ — The borough is calling on local photographers, professionals and amateurs alike, for its latest contest.

The borough is hosting a Fall Foliage Photo Contest, and the winner will have a tree planted in their yard, for free.

Photographers should capture a particular stunning tree in the neighborhood, which shouldn’t be hard to find, as leaves are expected to turn vibrantly orange and yellow in the coming weeks.

“Often we witness beautiful sights that are more worthy of attention,” a borough statement read. “This is a call to put down the latte, pick up the camera, and take notice of the foliage show that is taking place right in front of us.”

The photos can feature friends, family, pets, and other subjects; however, the main subject of the photograph should be the tree. Creativity is encouraged.

Entries should be emailed to dpw@mendhamnj.org and feature the photo along with the tree’s location.

The winner of the contest will get a tree of their choice planted on their lawn, courtesy of the borough and the Mendham Shade Tree Commission.

The deadline to submit a photo is Nov. 15.
