Police See Rise In Lawn Signs Reported Missing In Mendham
"Stealing a lawn sign from private property is against the law," Mendham Township Police stated.
MENDHAM, NJ — After experiencing an uptick in calls about signs disappearing from private properties, the Mendham Township Police Department recently posted information about the topic of sign-taking, as well what residents or business owners should do if someone removes signs from their properties.
“Just a quick reminder to everyone, stealing a lawn sign from private property is against the law,” the police department wrote to its social media followers this past Monday.

“Please respect the choices of your neighbors and do not trespass onto their property to remove or steal signs,” the police department continued.
Residents or business owners who have discovered lawn signs have been taken, are encouraged to contact the police department to file a police report at 973-543-2581.
