Mendham Prepares For Trick-Or-Treaters, Food Drive

Drakewick will be the township's trick-or-treating destination, while there's a local food drive. More information is here about both.

MENDHAM, NJ — Drakewick has been set as Mendham Township’s trick-or-treating destination on Halloween, according to the township’s police department.

Mendham Township Police Department has provided the ground rules for trick-or-treating for both trick-or-treaters and residents who’d like to hand out candy.

In 2021, Halloween lands on a Sunday, with hours to trick-or-treat in Drakewick from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. that day. The police department says that all kids must be picked up from trick-or-treating by 9 p.m.

For residents who’d like face-to-face trick-or-treaters, the department recommends they leave their porch lights on and answer their doors. Those who would rather social distance, should keep their lights on and leave a table outside with candy.

The police department suggests those who would prefer no trick-or-treaters drop by to their homes at all, to post signs and turn off their lights at the front of their home. The police department has signs available as well for the residents who don't want to participate.
