MENDHAM, NJ — MetLife’s Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer Steven J. Goulart, is one of three honorees for the Tri-County Scholarship Fund’s 40th Annual Awards Celebration, planned as a virtual and live-streamed event on Oct. 25.

Goulart, of Mendham, who is also the President of MetLife Investment Management, was one of the honorees selected for his belief in and support of “the TCSF mission to provide scholarships for many of the state’s most financially disadvantaged children, enabling them to attend accredited K-12 values-based, independent schools,” according to the scholarship organization.

The fundraising event is the non-profit group's most significant of the year, which since the first one in 1981, has raised more than $30 million for 33,000 scholarship for kids of New Jersey’s most financially-challenged families.

“We are delighted to recognize the extraordinary success and philanthropy of these three distinguished honorees and especially to recognize their contributions to the needy children in our state,” said Prudence Pigott, the scholarship fund’s president.

“Their support has created hope and opportunity for hundreds of New Jersey children,” Pigott continued.

“Our honorees’ accomplishments in their industries and in serving the community, exemplify everything we want our scholarship recipients to follow in their own educational journeys, in the workforce and in giving back to their own communities,” Pigott said.

Goulart, according to a news release from the scholarship fund - who earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Pacific in Business Administration, followed with his MBA from Harvard Business School - enjoys spending time golfing and with his wife, Kristy, their daughters and their grandchildren.
