Mendham Township Police Get Shaggy For A Cause

MENDHAM, NJ - Mendham Township police officers will once again be donating to the No Shave November Cancer Cause as they let it grow throughout the month.

Officials said one in six deaths are caused by cancer, noting that chances are, someone that you know and love has been affected by this malicious disease. However, nearly half of cancer diagnoses and deaths are preventable.

No Shave November's mission is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment while educating the population about preventative measures. For over a decade, participants around the globe have put down their razors and foregone their waxing appointments to fight back against cancer. The No Shave November campaign has successfully raised over $10 million to combat this disease. Every dollar raised brings us one step closer in our efforts to fund cancer research and education, help prevent the disease, and aid those fighting the battle. With each whisker grown, we work to embrace our hair by honoring those that have lost theirs during cancer treatment, police said.
