Sparrow House Outreach provides nutritious hot meals, fresh produce, and non-perishable foods to community members who are struggling with poverty or homelessness. We are dedicated to supporting an underserved population within the Essex County community, driven by the fundamental belief that no individual should ever endure hunger or lack access to essentials. Our vision encompasses providing support through direct meal and essential items distributions, and to empower individuals by assisting with securing employment and housing. Sparrow House Outreach positively impacts the community of Newark, NJ by creating an opportunity for volunteers and local partners to fulfill philanthropic endeavors through meeting the needs of those we serve. Local communities help us address food insecurities for our most vulnerable neighbors by consistently and reliably serving nutritious hot meals every week to individuals and families in need. Since  2013, I've specialized in force-free, positive dog training. I specialize in teaching calmness, "off" switches, boundaries, loose leash walking and confidence. I also offer an exercise, enrichment, and obedience reinforcement workouts for dogs. This program is perfect for dogs who need more exercise and training than they are getting. It's perfect for busy pet parents who want their dog worked by a trainer while they are busy taking care of other things.

Mendham Twp., N.J. – An hours-long search for an elderly Alzheimer's patient ended happily in Mendham Township early Friday morning, police said. Mendham Township police responded to Mt. Pleasant Road Thursday night for a report of a 78-year-old female Alzheimer's patient who went missing from her home, police said. A search was initiated and the woman was located by Brookside Engine Company volunteers in the woods. She was transported to Morristown Medical Center and checked out to be in good condition. Mendham Township Police were assisted by the Morris County Sheriff's K9 Unit, Morris County Prosecutor's Office, and Brookside and Ralston Fire Companies, along with the Mendham Township First Aid Squad.
