Music Festival In Chester Returns With Variety Of Music, Food, Beer
Chester is hosting its third annual Chester Music Festival on Aug. 6 with a variety of classic rock, folk, Motown and country performers.
CHESTER, NJ — The Chester Municipal Field will soon be alive with musical performances as the third annual Chester Music Festival is set to take place this summer.
The all-day music festival will take place on Aug. 6 from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 134 Main St. in Chester. The festival will also include fun activities for children such as The Kiddie Rock 'n' Roll Show from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., as well as face painting, balloon art and games throughout the day.
The festival will showcase a variety of classic rock, folk, Motown and country performers.

The Sensational Soul Cruisers will open the festival with a set from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. " This sensational group performs the best of RnB, Mowtown, Disco and Philly Soul," officials said. The 11-piece horn group is fronted by four soulful, choreographed vocalists paying tribute to classic performers from Otis Redding and the Drifters to Barry White and the Commodores.
The following band, B-Street Band, was proudly featured in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's "Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen" exhibit at the Philadelphia Constitutional Center and has previously performed before Springsteen shows at a variety of venues. The B-Street Band will take the stage from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Southern Steele will close out the night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., paying tribute to the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band. "Their show delivers an unrivaled level of energy, generating standing ovations and calls for encores, time and time again," officials said.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
All adults will be able to purchase beer, hard seltzer, wine, and sangria, and there will also be food available for purchase.
Adult admission to the festival is $15; the first 500 people will receive $5 Chester Dollars (which can be spent at any HCBA Member Business) and children aged 5 to 12 pay $5 for admission.
The rain date for the music festival has been set for Aug. 7.
