Native Plant Sale Now Underway In Chester Township

This plant sale is not a fundraiser; rather, it is intended to bring native plants that benefit pollinators and birds into the community.

The Chester Township Environmental Commission announces its Native Plant Sale, back after a hiatus. This plant sale is not a fundraiser; its purpose is to bring high-quality native plants that support pollinators and birds into our community in order to increase biodiversity and improve the health of our local ecosystem.

In a time of habitat and species loss, we can all help support pollinators and birds by creating gardens and landscapes that include the plants that they evolved to rely upon for survival. Please consider placing an order and introducing some of these plants into your home garden!

For information about each plant, such as what it looks like, what conditions it needs to thrive, when it blooms, or how big it grows, click on the plant title's hyperlink on the order form (or on the list below). View the order form here.

You can place your order by:

  1. emailing your order form back to us at communication@chestertownship.org and mailing or delivering a check to Town Hall (attention Judy Irwin), OR
  2. bringing your order form and payment to Judy at Town Hall during normal business hours. There is also a lock box outside of Town Hall where you can place an envelope containing your order and payment after hours.

Plants must be picked up at the Barn at Highlands Ridge Park on Saturday, April 29 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
