New Mayor Selected In Mendham Township
Other committee members unanimously approved the new mayor.

MENDHAM, NJ — Volunteer firefighter Warren Gisser was unanimously approved as the new Mendham Township mayor by his fellow committee members at the annual reorganization meeting.
Councilwoman Sarah Neibart was elected deputy mayor; Amalia Duarte abstained from voting, and the rest of the committee unanimously approved her appointment.
The mayor position is not directed voted upon by Mendham Township residents. Residents elect committee members, who select a mayor and deputy mayor amongst themselves.

All committee members are serving in their first elected term, Gisser said during his welcoming remarks, adding that the group could bring fresh perspectives to the township.
Some priorities Gisser outlined for 2019 are fixing up the police station and working on reducing the township's debt.
