'Panic Alarm' Pressed On 'Unruly' Morris Co. Patient: Police
MedExpress on East Hanover Avenue summoned police to deal with a local teenager, authorities said.
WHIPPANY, NJ - A 19-year-old Whippany man was charged with disorderly conduct after his "unruly" actions caused the staff to hit the silent panic alarm on Aug. 16, according to Hanover Police Chief Mark D. Roddy.
According to authorities, Officer Erick Magley responded to the silent alarm triggered at the MedExpress on East Hanover Avenue. Upon arrival, he was advised that a patient became unruly and threw liquid in the lobby area, police said. According to workers, the patient Dylan Young, missed his appointment time and was asked to please wait outside until they could make room for him, police said.
This angered Young, so after leaving the office he returned with a bottle of ice tea and began spilling it and throwing it all over the waiting room, police said.
