Our vision encompasses providing support through direct meal and essential items distributions, and to empower individuals by assisting with securing employment and housing. Sparrow House Outreach positively impacts the community of Newark, NJ by creating an opportunity for volunteers and local partners to fulfill philanthropic endeavors through meeting the needs of those we serve. MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Tuesday while walking near a Morris County park, according to reports citing police. The incident happened shortly after 4 p.m. near the entrance to Turkey Brook Park, <a href="https://wrnjradio.com/pedestrian-struck-killed-by-vehicle-in-morris-county/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">RNJ News reported</a>. A 66-year-old woman was using a crosswalk to cross Flanders Road when she was struck by a Kia traveling southbound.The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died, reports said. The driver of the Kia remained at the scene.A Mount Olive police spokesperson told <a href="https://www.nj.com/morris/2025/05/driver-facing-charges-after-pedestrian-struck-killed-near-nj-park.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">NJ Advance Media</a> that charges are pending against the driver. Patch has reached out to police for additional information. Anyone with information about the crash should contact Sgt. William Galop at 973-691-0900, ext. 7108.
