Pleasant Pools Future In Chester Unclear
It's not clear what's happening with the beloved pool store, which has apparently gone off the grid ahead of this summer.

CHESTER, NJ — Is Pleasant Pools opening for their 51st season on Main Street Chester? The answer remains unclear, and the store appears to have gone completely off the grid.
Locals began to take notice several weeks ago, when the store did not open around its usual time for the season. That curiosity has only intensified as Memorial Day approaches and the store appears to remain closed.
Phone calls and emails sent to the contact information listed on Pleasant Pools' website have gone unanswered; emails bounced back as undeliverable and the phone has been disconnected. A Patch reporter drove by last week and the store was closed.

Township officials don't have the answers, either. Mayor Janet Hoven and the town clerk both said they had no information about the status of the pool store; Hoven said the township has been unable to reach the owners.
Lt. Edward Noonan of the Chester Police Department also wasn't sure what the current status of the store was.

A Google card for the business shows it as permanently closed. But Patch has been unable to confirm that, or to confirm that the business would be opening at some point this season, or next season.
