Power Outage Has Kept Mendham Building Closed For 4 Days

A fallen tree took out power lines by Mendham Township Municipal Building and Library with power restoration still ongoing as of Friday.

MENDHAM, NJ — Neither Mendham Township’s Municipal Building nor its library have been able to reopen since this past Tuesday, Aug. 24, due to power outages after a tree fell on power lines near the building.

Initially expecting to stay closed through Aug. 25, Mendham Township provided an update that it would stay closed through Aug. 26 next on its website. On Friday, the message scrolling across the township’s website indicated the Municipal Building would need to remain closed for the day, as work on power lines continued.

The Library, located at the same address at 2 West Main Street in Brookside, has also been updating the public daily about the closure on its Facebook Page.
