Ralston Playground Opening Pushed Back Again
The playground can't catch a break: a planned reopening ceremony has been pushed back again due to rain.

MENDHAM TWP, NJ — Looks like the weather just won't cooperate: after a snowstorm wrecked the playground, it's grand reopening has been pushed back for the second time because of rain.
The new date is Friday, May 17th at 6:30 p.m. (should it rain yet again, it'll be held on the 18th). There will be food trucks, entertainment, a dance party, and a dedication ceremony at 7:15 p.m.
At sundown, "The Greatest Showman" will screen. Before that, children can enjoy "special circus entertainment."

The playground was shuttered after a harsh winter in 2014 caused damage and safety issues. Much of the equipment needed to be replaced as a result. $98,000 was raised in funds by the community, and another $42,000 in new debt and $40,000 from the town's capital improvement fund were given to help fund the effort.
