MENDHAM, NJ — West Morris Regional students' SAT scores rank in the top 30 of the average scores across New Jersey, information released by the New Jersey Department of Education shows.

The average SAT score in WMRSD for the 2017-18 school year was 1224, or 29th highest in New Jersey out of 307 districts.

For the math portion of the exam West Morris's average score was 617, good for 31st highest.

The reading and writing portion the average West Morris Regional score was 607, or 29th highest in New Jersey.

The SAT scores were part of the state Department of Education's School Performance Reports for the 2017-18 school year. The reports include figures on enrollment, proficiency scores, PARCC scores, graduation rates and SAT scores.

A perfect score would be a combined 1600, or 800 in each section.
