'Slow Down Or Pay Up', Mendham Township Police Warn Speeding Drivers
Police said they have seen more drivers not following the speed limit on township roads lately, and have issued a safety reminder.
MENDHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ — After noticing an increase in the number of speeding vehicles around Mendham Township lately, police are urging drivers to slow down.
"We wanted to remind everyone to please be cognizant of the speed limits, slow it down!" police said in a post Sunday.
The department said officers have seen more speeding drivers town-wide, and police are reminding motorists to follow posted speed restrictions for everyone's safety.

They also noted some consequences of driving above the speed limit, which included an increased risk of crash, less sight distance on pedestrians, and a greater chance of being pulled over.
"Obey speed limits," police said. "Speeding will slow you down."
