Summer Concert Series Returns To Chester Borough

The summer concert series lineup continues on July 6 at the Municipal Park Gazebo.

CHESTER, NJ — One of the best ways to pass an evening in the summer is relaxing at the Municipal Park Gazebo and listening to some great live music.

On Thursday, July 6, the annual Summer Concerts Series returns to Chester Borough, filling the park with the sound of music.

The summer concert series is the result of a collaborative effort between Chester Township recreation leaders and Chester Borough recreation leaders.

The event is open to all residents and is free to attend.

On Thursday, Alternative Groove will be performing, beginning at 7 p.m., borough officials said. Alternative Groove is a New Jersey party band, featuring a three-piece horn section.

Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs when attending a performance.

Here is the list of all the concert performances planned this summer in Chester:

  • July 13: PreFab4: PreFab4 is a New York-based innovative and entertaining Beatles tribute band.
  • July 20: Monkey Shoulder: Monkey Shoulder is a rock band that plays a mix of old-school rock, blues, and other crowd favorites that will make you want to dance.
  • July 27: Total Soul: Total Soul is a rhythm and blues band that has a unique ability to please all age groups and keep the dance floor packed all night.

The concert will take place at Municipal Field, which is located at 134 Main Street, in Chester.
