Summer Drive-In Movie Event Planned For Mendham

MENDHAM, NJ — There are numerous benefits to warm summer evenings, such as watching your favorite movie under the stars. So get your popcorn and bug spray ready, because Mendham Borough is hosting a free summer movie drive-in.

Mendham Borough will co-sponsor a fun outdoor movie event for the entire family on July 28. "The Art of Racing in the Rain" will be shown for free at Borough Park beginning at 8:30 p.m.

This movie event is Co-sponsored by Law Enforcement Against Drugs (LEAD) and is open to all Mendham residents.

A local ice cream shop, Mendham Creamery, will be proving sweet treats for all moviegoers, according to borough officials.

Based on Garth Stein's best-selling novel, 'The Art of Racing in the Rain,' starring Kevin Costner and Amanda Seyfried, follows Denny Swift, a Formula One race car driver, and his best friend, a dog who wishes to be reincarnated as a human.
