Woman, 3 Children Displaced After Mt. Olive Apartment Fire

The fire was knocked down in 20 minutes, but the apartment suffered heavy damage, according to Budd Lake Fire Co. 1.

MOUNT OLIVE, N.J.– Four Hensyn Village apartment residents were displaced after a Sunday morning fire, authorities said.

The apartment suffered heavy fire and smoke damage, Budd Lake Fire Co. 1 said in a Facebook post.

The fire – reported at 5:46 a.m. – was knocked down in 20 minutes, the department said.

News 12 reported that the fire started in the kitchen where a woman and her three children lived.

The family is being assisted by Red Cross, Fire Co. 1 said.
