• Middlesex Boro Man Part Of Ring That Smashed, Robbed Postal Trucks And Stole Mail, Feds Say (patch.com) — Residents in Middlesex are learning that a local man is among three people federally charged with conspiring to steal mail and checks from postal collection boxes and trucks across North Jersey. Prosecutors say the group targeted valuable financial documents, altered checks for deposit at banks and check-cashing businesses, and allegedly carried out smash-and-grab thefts from postal vehicles before being brought into Newark federal court.
