MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Middletown Mayor Tony Perry said Monday night it was actually a total of "nearly a dozen" drones spotted over Middletown this past weekend, including in the restricted airspace over Naval Weapons Station Earle.

Perry also said he contacted U.S. Senator Cory Booker, the FBI and the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security to see what they are doing to stop the drones, and find out who is behind flying them.

Perry said he is worried the drones could be used to conduct espionage at the Naval weapons base, or to damage the base itself.
