MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Celebrate Spring Break, a solar eclipse and mythology-themed programming at the Middletown Township Public Library this April:
Talewise Science & Storytelling Show at Croydon Hall Gym – April 2 at 10 am: For all ages. Join a fun STEM adventure with Talewise, followed by two hands-on science stations! Registration is required.
Cards for a Cause – April 3 from 3-6 pm: Teens are invited to drop in and make spring greeting cards for local seniors to earn volunteer hours. Limit five cards for a total of five hours.

NEA Big Read Mobile Ed; SkyDome at Croydon Hall Gym – April 4 (Five Sessions) 10am-3:45pm: For all ages. Join our NEA Big Read kick-off and take a 45-minute tour of the solar system in Mobile Ed’s portable planetarium. Registered attendees will receive a pair of solar eclipse glasses while supplies last.
Solar Eclipse Viewing at Poricy Park – April 8 at 2 pm: Experience the partial eclipse with us at Poricy Park! Eclipse glasses provided while supplies last. For all ages. No registration required.

STEM Session with Mrs. McChem – April 9 at 4:15 pm: For grades 3-5. Learn about STEM through hands-on projects at this monthly program. Registration is required.
Tween Game Night (ages 9-12) – April 9 at 7 pm: Bring a friend or make a friend as we play games like Bingo, Pictionary, HeadsUp and more! Registration is required for tweens at mtpl.org.
SLP Musically with Miss Kat – April 10 at 4:30 pm: For children of all abilities, ages 4-9. Join speech-language therapist Miss Kat for a fun, free and accessible music experience. No registration is required.
Finger Knitting for Teens – April 10 at 7 pm: Celebrate National Library Week by learning how to finger knit a bookmark at this teen craft program. Registration is required at mtpl.org.
Read to a Dog (grades K-5) – April 11 at 4 pm and April 15 at 6 pm: Stop by the library to improve literacy skills by reading aloud to a non-judgmental therapy dog! Registration is required at mtpl.org.
Astronomy Observing Session at Poricy Park – April 12 at 8 pm: Join us at Poricy Park as the STAR Astronomy club shows us the wonders in the spring sky with their telescopes. No registration required.
Nature Explorers for grades PreK-K at Huber Woods Park – April 15 at 10 am: Learn the wonders of nature with a craft, a guided nature walk and a live animal program at the park. Registration is required for this library-sponsored program.
Facts vs Opinions vs Robots – April 16 at 4:15 pm: For grades K-5. Join an interactive story and craft and assist robots in separating fact from opinion. Registration is required.
NEA Big Read: Myth Writing for Teens with Project Write Now – April 17 at 7 pm: Create a myth with Project Write Now at this NEA Big Read program. Registration is required at mtpl.org.
Financial Literacy for Teens – April 22 at 4:30 pm: Join this introductory program for teens about saving and informed investing featuring Colin Dennis. Registration is required.
Tween Book Club – April 24 at 4:15 pm: For tweens ages 9-12. Share your love of reading and make new friends. This month’s selection is The Magic Misfits #1 by Neil Patrick Harris. Registration is required.
Bookworms Book Club – April 25 at 4:15 pm: For grades K-5. Share your love of reading and join monthly challenges with the Bookworms! Visit mtpl.org to register on the Beanstack reading platform for the Bookworms challenge and sign up for the in-person book club on the library calendar.
NEA Big Read Teen Book Club – April 25 at 7 pm: Join a special teen book discussion of "Lore" by Alexandra Bracken. Registration is required.
Earth Day is Every Day at Huber Woods Park – April 26 at 4 pm: For grades 1–4. Learn to incorporate environmental stewardship into your life with hands-on activities, games and an eco-walk. Registration is required for this library sponsored program.
Saturday Family Storytime and Craft – April 27 at 10 am: For ages 3 and up. Join a butterfly themed story time and craft for spring. Registration is required.
Lava and Snow – April 30 at 4:15 pm: For grades k-5. Explore some extreme American weather through a book and hands-on activities. Registration is required.
