Community Advisories: Flood Warning and County Mosquito Spraying

Advisories were issued from the Middletown Emergency Management and Monmouth County Mosquito Extermination Commission.

Below are advisories area residents should prepare for.

Flood Advisory

Middletown Emergency Management reports that flooding is expected tonight in low-lying areas. High tide will be at about 10 p.m. tonight. Residents are asked to take any necessary actions.

County Mosquito Spraying Early Thursday Morning – North Middletown

The Monmouth County Mosquito Extermination Commission (MCMEC) will be spraying to kill mosquito larvae in a section of Middletown to prevent the population of the Asian Tiger Mosquito from increasing. The Asian tiger mosquito is an aggressive human biting mosquito. The spraying will take place during the early morning of Thursday, June 7 between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.  Contact the hotline (732-578-1600) for the most up-to-date information.
