Community Welcomes Lincroft Service Member Home

Locals came out Monday night to celebrate the return of a Lincroft man who served overseas.

From the Tinton Falls fire house, Josh Matthews was escorted by 19 emergency rescue vehicles up Swimming River Road to his Parkview Terrace home. 

Matthews had not been home in the past year as he served a tour of duty in Afghanistan, according to Lincroft First Aid and Rescue Squad Recording Secretary Carol Fowler.

Pipes and Drums of the Ancient Order of Hibernians was there to welcome Matthews, along with all of his friends and family including parents Bridget and Rob.
