Duo Indicted After Allegedly Obtaining Drugs through Forgery

Two Middletown residents were indicted following an April arrest in Atlantic Highlands.

A Monmouth County grand jury indicted two Middletown residents on multiple charges surrounding an April drug arrest.

Jasen Silver, 20, and Lenore Silver, 46, both of Karyn Terrace West were arrested and charged with obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud. Jasen was also indicted on additional charges of forgery, and uttering a forged instrument.

According to the indictment, both Lenore and Jasen obtained oxycodone fraudulently through misrepresentation. The indictment did not specify how the duo allegedly misrepresented themselves to get the drugs. Jasen’s additional charges came from him allegedly forging a prescription blank for the drugs without the consent of the owner of the pad.

All three charges are considered third-degree crimes.
