Middletown Republicans Win; 3 Elected To School Board

Here are the election results as of 7:30 a.m.
For the Middletown Township Committee, incumbents Tony Fiore (Republican) and Stephanie Murray (Republican) were up for reelection against newcomers George Mardinly (Democrat) and Patrick Short (Democrat). Results show Fiore and Murray winning, with roughly 30% of the vote each.
Three seats on the Middletown Township School District Board of Education are up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbents Susan Griffin and Ernest Donnelly filed to run to retain their seats. Helene Henkel, Mark Bouthillette and former board member Christopher J. Aveta are also on the ballot for the school board election. Results show Griffin, Donnelly, and Henkel winning.
