February Children's And Teens Programs At Middletown Public Library

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Here are Middletown Township Public Library's teens and children's programs for February:

Cards for a Cause – February 5 from 3 – 5 p.m.: Drop in to make cards for Middletown seniors. Volunteer Hours will be offered for each card with a limit of 5 cards for 5 hours. For ages 13-18.

Gymboree for Walkers or Babies – February 6 at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.: Gymboree of Red Bank offers gym classes for toddlers and babies. Register at mtpl.org.

SLP Musically with Miss Kat – February 10 at 4:30 p.m.: Join Miss Kat for a fun, free and accessible music experience. For children of all abilities, in particular AAC users, ages 4-9. No registration required.

Book Explorers – February 11 at 4:15 p.m.: This month, the Book Explorers will focus on Flat Stanley, a series that includes both "early reader" and chapter books. For grades K-5. Register at mtpl.org.

Teen Art Program: Conversation Heart Tassels – February 12 at 4 p.m.: With red felt and yarn, create a heart tassel for Valentine’s Day. For ages 13-18. Register at mtpl.org.

Read to a Dog – February 13 at 4 p.m. and February 17 at 6 p.m.: Children can read for ten minutes to a certified therapy dog. Four sessions available on each date. For independent readers in grades K-5. Register at mtpl.org.

Maple Sugaring at Poricy Park – February 17 at 11 a.m.: Learn how to collect the sap, identify maple trees, and how to boil the solution to create syrup. For grades K-5. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Both must register online at mtpl.org.

Tween Book Club – February 19 at 4:15 p.m.: Read and chat about "Misfits: A Royal Conundrum" by Lisa Yee. For tweens ages 9-12. Registration required at mtpl.org.

Bookworms Book Club – February 20 at 4:15 p.m.: Share your love of reading with fellow bookworms at this book club for grades K-3 and join the related Bookworms Reading Challenge on Beanstack! Registration is required for the book club at mtpl.org.

Pokémon Trading Night – February 20 at 7 p.m.: Trade with fellow Pokémon fans, discuss Pokémon books and movies, play the Pokémon trading card game with your own deck. For ages 8+. Registration is required at mtpl.org.
