Free Middletown Tutoring Services Offered To Income-Eligible Families
Free tutoring services are now available to some Middletown families whose children have fallen behind academically due to the pandemic.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ - Free tutoring services are now available to some Middletown families whose children have fallen behind academically due to the pandemic.
Thanks to an allocation of the Community Development Block Grant CARES Act, Middletown will be offering the services to students in third through eighth grade from income-eligible households, officials said.
The 2023 household income limits for the program are $75,750 for a household of two people, $85,200 for a household of three people and $94,650 for a household size of four people. You can view all the requirements here.

Tutoring will consist of Language Arts and Math lessons based on the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and hands-on educational activities, officials said.
The lessons will take place on Saturdays from Sept. 30 through Nov. 18 at the Middletown Township Public Library (55 New Monmouth Road). Tutoring will not be held on Nov. 4 and 11.

Residents should apply by Friday, Aug. 25.
