Early Registration for Summer Reading Challenges for Children & Teens begin on June 10: Visit mtpl.org to join a summer reading challenge on MTPL’s Beanstack reading tracker page. Logging begins on June 24.

Pizza and Paolini (Teen Dine & Discuss Program) – June 5 at 6:30pm: Enjoy pizza as we tune in for an author talk with bestselling YA fantasy author Christopher Paolini! Registration is required.

Cards for a Cause – June 12 from 3 – 6 pm: Teens ages 12-18 are invited to drop in and make greeting cards for local seniors. Volunteer hours will be offered for each card. Limit of 5 cards for a total of 5 hours.

Brightstar Theatre Presents Aesop’s Fables at the Middletown Arts Center – June 13 at 3pm: Enjoy the classic & timeless stories of legendary Greek storyteller Aesop performed by Brightstar Theatre. Visit mtpl.org to register.

Beach Balls and Bucket Lists for Teens – June 13 at 4pm: Celebrate the end of the school year by decorating a beach ball and talking about any fun summer plans! Registration is required at mtpl.org.

Down By the Bay (For Grades K-3) at Bayshore Waterfront Park – June 14 at 3pm: Explore the estuary environment of Sandy Hook Bay, collect shells and take part in a craft at this library-sponsored program at the park. Registration is required.

Andrew’s Big Show (Summer Reading Kick off) – June 26 at 10am & 11am: Kick off summer reading adventures with Andrew Scharff’s family friendly comedy & juggling show. For all ages. Registration is required.

Can-U-Canoe (Summer Reading Kick off) at Thompson Park’s Marlu Lake – June 26 at 3pm: For ages 8-12. Join this adventure-themed program to explore a lake by canoe and learn basic water safety and paddling strokes. A waiver form must be signed by participants and guardians 10 minutes prior to program. Registration is required.

Digital SAT Practice Exam with the Princeton Review – June 29 at 9am: Take a practice Digital SAT virtually and receive a comprehensive score report detailing strengths and weaknesses. Register via the mtpl.org calendar.
