Leonardo Man Charged in Copper Pipe Theft
Charges stem from a September incident in Leonardo

A Leonardo man faces burglary and theft charges after police said he stole more than $500 worth of copper pipe from a Middletown home.
Peter D. Christensen, 21, allegedly burglarized a Benton Avenue home in the township’s Leonardo section on Sept. 23, according to a criminal complaint signed by Middletown police Lt. Stephen Dollinger on Dec. 2.
Christensen is already lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Facility on various drug, forgery and theft charges carrying $28,500 bail, according to inmate records.

The December burglary and theft charges come with an additional $10,000 bail, no 10 percent option, according to the complaint.
