Local businesses are the heart of our communities. Patch had a chance to talk with Diane Nicoletti, Owner, of Power Core Studio.

Patch: Tell us a bit about your business or organization:
Diane Nicoletti: Power Core Studio is a boutique Megaformer Studio with locations in Middletown and Freehold. We focus on the Lagree Method which is a low impact - high intensity workout. Sometimes lovingly referred to as HIIT on a megaformer or pilates on steroids! Our classes are small (11 - 15 people) to give extra attention to our clients.

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Diane Nicoletti: We just opened this past year and love connecting with others in the community! We have partnered with Babes in Business, Liquivida, SETS, Arbonne, Highlander Bicycle and many schools and charities!

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Diane Nicoletti: Having always gravitated to low impact workouts like barre and pilates, I came across Lagree when I was in NYC, and fell in love. I had never felt a core workout like that before and the mental strength needed to get through the workout was challenging. I actually put myself through a bootcamp mainly using Lagree when I was gearing up to produce the Museum of Broadway. I knew I was going to need the mental stamina and focus as well as the full body strength to get through 3 months of 18 hour days going up and down 4 flights of stairs, climbing ladders and running around with contractors, fabricators, designers and partners. The training helped me prepare and I don't think I could have gotten through that time without Lagree! I knew I wanted to bring this method to New Jersey where I live now. It is just so good for the body and my core strength is better than it has ever been which helps me swing around my four kids:)

Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Diane Nicoletti: Show up, listen to your body and make improvements each day. If you can get 1% better each day imagine where you'll be in a year!

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Diane Nicoletti: Helping people get stronger and more confident!

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Diane Nicoletti: Not only is the workout badass, but we have such a supportive group of instructors and clients. Everyone is just so welcoming and nice, you feel good about yourself and everyone is there to support and help each other!
