Middletown Man Hit, Killed By Train Last Week

The man hit and killed by an NJ Transit train last Wednesday on Normandy Road has been identified as a 26-year-old Middletown local.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The man hit and killed by an NJ Transit train last Wednesday in Middletown has been identified as a 26-year-old Middletown local.

The man fatally hit was Michael D. Feldmann, 26, of Middletown, said an NJ Transit spokesman on Friday.

He was hit by a train at 7:25 a.m. Dec. 4 in the area of the Normandy Road bridge. NJ Transit described Feldmann as a "pedestrian" walking on or across the tracks when he was struck and killed.

He was struck by a northbound train headed to New York Penn station.
