Middletown Railroad Crossing Closed for Repairs at Navesink River Road

The repairs will last anywhere from 10 to 12 days, Middletown Township has announced.

The NJ Transit railroad crossing at Navesink River Road between Hubbard Avenue and Route 35 is scheduled to close on or about Monday, August 18, Middletown Township has announced on their website.

The township states that this is a 24-hour, 7-day-week closure. The closure will be in effect for approximately 10 to 12 days.

This will not affect rail transportation but will affect Navesink River Road (Monmouth County Road 12A). Traffic will NOT be allowed to cross. NJ Transit must complete this emergency repair work before schools starts.

The township asks for drivers to plan to use alternate routes. Truck and car detours will be in place.
