Middletown Teen, 2 Others Charged With Murder Of Long Branch Teen

Three men, including a 19-year-old from Middletown, are charged with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Long Branch teen in March.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Three men, including a 19-year-old from Middletown, are charged with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Long Branch teen in March, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced Thursday.

Aiden Terlecki, 19, of Middletown, Joshua Moore, 21, of Neptune Township and Jahsaad Banks, 19, of Asbury Park, are each charged with one count of first-degree Murder, first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (firearm), second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and third-degree Hindering.

Terlecki, of Middletown, is also charged with one count of second-degree drug possession, with intent to distribute. Police did not specify the type of allege drugs.

The victim, Tristan Reeves of Long Branch, was found by police March 16, suffering from gunshot wounds near John R. Lewis Commons, part of the Long Branch Housing Authority.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he died.

Terlecki, of Middletown, was located and apprehended on Oct. 9 by Port Authority Police. He remains in custody in New York City awaiting extradition proceedings.

Moore was apprehended without incident in Neptune Township on Oct. 2. And Banks was already detained at the county jail on a prior arrest.
