Man Charged with Shoplifting from Local Store

A Philadelphia man allegedly shoplifted over $200 worth of patio furniture from Bed Bath and Beyond.

arrested a Philadelphia man after he allegedly shoplifted patio furniture from the store in Middletown.

William Crespo, 53, of Philadelphia, allegedly took the furniture while at the store on Monday, June 25. The furniture was valued at over $200. According to information provided by Detective Lieutenant Stephen Dollinger, Crespo was also found to be in possession of burglary tools.

Patrolman John Soltysik was the arresting officer. Crespo’s charge of shoplifting is considered a fourth-degree crime; he has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $15,000 bail.
